Multiple roles for people with in an interest in gardening or skills in horticulture. We are creating a community garden to produce free locally grown vegetables and herbs to support our community. Duties will include creating the garden from scratch (garden beds are already on site). Successful applicants will need to be critical thinkers, be able to work as a team and be physically capable of manual labour. Community gardens are unique, it doesn't matter who you are or what your background is, when we are tending the garden together there is a real sense of purpose, cooperation and community. Help us create a space where locals can access free food to not only nourish bodies but also their hearts and souls.

Applicants must be physically fit, manual labour is required. OH&S principles and policies must be followed. A keen interest in gardening or a background in horticulture will be highly regarded but not essential.
* During the Covid-19 pandemics, organisations should be providing all necessary Covid-19 safety protection measures for volunteers following the advice of both the Sate or Territory Governments and the Federal Government. Your safety and wellbeing is your priority. Familiarise yourself with the most up-to-date requirements and advice from the Australian and NT and SA State Governments.
* As each organisation provides different levels/types of insurance, volunteers are reminded to check with the organisation as to the type of insurance provided for volunteers (e.g. Volunteer Personal Accident Insurance).
* Best practice volunteer involvement recommends that a volunteer role should not be more than 15-16 hours per week.
