About this opportunity
Local Coordinators are responsible for overseeing the wellbeing of an international exchange student and their host family. We offer full training (online) for this role and our team are always available to assist. You will be required to conduct a to a monthly face to face meeting with your student and their family, and submit a report to us on their progress. You may also be required to assist should any issues arise. Local Coordinators can also be asked to interview protective host families (training is provided) and to help assess the suitability of students in their local area who have applied to go on exchange. Some requirements for this role are that you are:
Open-minded and flexible
That you have an understanding of young people and families and an interest in other cultures
You may have been an exchange student or know someone who was an exchange student
You may have travelled or lived in another country
You may be interested in other languages or speak another language
You will need good negotiation skills and excellent communication skills
Time will vary with a commitment to visit your student and host family monthlyType of work
