Volunteering opportunities - Jack / Jill of all skills

Community Services Regular - more than 6 months Swan Reach VIC

About this opportunity

If you are wanting to help make a positive contribution to your local community then we invite you to consider contacting us to find out how you can enjoy volunteering in a friendly and safe environment.

If you are friendly disposition, have a flexible approach and ability to just spontaneously "pitch in" where you see a need . Through your involvement in our club you will acquire new skills, meet challenges head-on, make lasting friendships, grow personally and have fun at the same time.  We always find "kindness matters"

We are seeking volunteers to help set up our new social enterprise in Swan Reach.  We need anyone willing to pitch in a help where ever needed - eg setting up shelving, putting books into our new Community Book Exchange shelves in categories, sorting materials and other items that are donated; help with merchandising our upcycled store; help make things that can be sold in our Upcycling Store.  We also need volunteers to help deliver the 123 READ 2 ME project to schools and pre-schools in our area.  There are lots of opportunities to help TUESDAYS between 10am and 2pm and other days by arrangement.  There are also other opportunities to volunteer in the comfort of your home if you enjoy knitting, crocheting, sewing or any other craft/hobby where you can make items that can be sold on our new COMMUNITY UPCYCLING STORE etc being launched in Spring 2020.
