Do you like arts, crafts, and sewing and would like to spend some quality time with young adults with complex needs?

We are looking for persons with an interest in arts, crafts, and sewing who would like to share their skills and knowledge with us while developing friendships with the people we support, sharing experiences, and encouraging them to participate. It’s heaps of fun for all involved!

About our Supported Accommodation Services:

Everyone should have access to a living environment of their choosing. Our supported accommodation communities offer young people living with complex disabilities the chance to live a normal and dignified life with the support they need to reach their own personal goals.

Wesley Mission Queensland's supported accommodation communities include:

  • Asher House in Wynnum
  • WesleyCare Jindalee at Sinnamon Park in Brisbane
  • WesleyCare Tewantin on the Sunshine Coast
  • WesleyCare Coomera on the Gold Coast
  • WesleyCare Sinnamon Village at Sinnamon Park in Brisbane
  • Youngcare Share House Wooloowin in Brisbane.

All of these communities are state-of-the-art with high-tech equipment, and 24-hour care and support by registered nurses, carers and therapy assistants. Youngcare, Asher House and WesleyCare also offer an activities coordinator and a qualified cook or chef.

The model of care provided at each community is focused on the individual to ensure the needs of every resident are met. This creates an environment where residents can enjoy the meaningful, happy lives they deserve.

National Police Certificate *. Others .

All applicants will be forwarded a link to a quick online registration form with their expression of interest notification. This form must be completed and returned to be considered for the position.

Once we have received your form we will be in contact with you to discuss the position further.

All security check applications including Federal Police Checks and Yellow Cards (working with people with disabilities card) can be supplied and paid for by Wesley Mission Queensland.

To be in this role you will be required to follow a COVID-19 safe work plan and provide proof you have received your COVID-19 vaccinations before commencement.

Time Required

Volunteer times are available between the hours of 12noon an 4pm, Monday to Friday.
