About this opportunity
Our cook ups are designed to be a fun day where interested people get together in a relaxed atmosphere to work towards filling the Community Kitchen freezer. Whilst chopping and stirring, and chatting and laughing, meals are created to give away to people in need.
Activities include, food preparation, labelling, cleaning.
An important aspect of our program is that volunteers be able to participate at a level they can manage. Volunteers can be accommodated regardless of the amount of time they are able to contribute. Whether they can spare an hour or are happy to stay for the whole day, whether they are good cooks or not cooks at all, our program is flexible enough to accommodate everyone and provide fulfilment for all participants.
