Aged Care Volunteer Visitors Scheme [ACVVS]
About this opportunity
ACVVS Volunteers add to the social connection of residents in Aged Care homes or a person in their own home. Volunteers add to the quality of life of their companion by increasing their self-esteem and well-being and diminishing feelings of anxiety, isolation and loneliness. Note - application process involves a NDIS police check via a visit to a Service NSW outlet with supporting I.D.
Additional requirements
National Police Certificate *. NDIS screening check .
Anglicare require a police check facilitated through the NDIS & a visit to a Service NSW outlet is needed to complete this with your I.D. requirements.
We will send the information regarding this with our application paperwork etc.
Completing a 90min NDIS online training will be necessary if you visit a NDIS participant.
As a Govt funded scheme CVS requires reporting of visits - you will be asked to contact your coordinator to update frequency of visits.
1hr min weekly or fortnightly coordinated with volunteer & care recipient.
