Volunteer Bush Firefighter

Emergency Response Regular - more than 6 months Kununurra WA

About this opportunity

Bush Fire Service (BFS) volunteers play a significant and vital role in helping to ensure their local communities are safe. As a volunteer you will be fully trained and equipped to carry out a range of activities including:

  • Responding  to bush and scrub fires
  • Structural firefighting
  • Controlled burns
  • Fire prevention
  • Supporting other emergency services when required


Additional requirements

National Police Certificate *.

Ideally you will work or reside within 20km of one of the following areas in Kununurra - Packsaddle, Ivanhoe, Crossing Falls, Lake Argyle, Home Valley or El Questro

Time Required

You will be required to attend regular training and emergency call-outs whenever possible.
