The Boroondara Volunteer Resource Centre is advertising this volunteer role on behalf of You Matter.
At You Matter, we create welcoming styled homes using good quality second hand furniture and homewares donated by the community. We use these donated items to provide the gift of a fully functioning home for victims of domestic violence. We require volunteers to work in a small team to sort through and clean donated items once or twice a month.
Volunteers work in teams to wash, clean, package and store household and furniture items ready for them to be delivered into new homes for victims of Domestic Violence. Working bees are held on various weekdays between 10am and 3pm.

Medical Check *. National Police Certificate *. Working with Children Check *.
Volunteers need to be able to perform some easy physical work. They will need to be able to stand for much of the time at the working bee. Some lifting is required. Gloves and enclosed shoes need to be worn.
10am-3pm Monday to Friday
