Volunteer Bush Firefighter
About this opportunity
Bush Fire Service (BFS) volunteers play a significant and vital role in helping to ensure their local communities are safe. As a volunteer you will be fully trained and equipped to carry out a range of activities including:
- Responding to bush and scrub fires
- Structural firefighting
- Controlled burns
- Fire prevention
- Supporting other emergency services when required

National Police Certificate *.
You will need to reside with 20 kms of Broome, WA 6725

Time Required
You will be required to attend regular training and emergency call-outs whenever possible.
Type of work- Safety & Emergency Services
We train fortnightly, on a Monday evening with occasional weekend courses and exercises throughout the year. Training includes safety, fire suppression methods, radio communications and use of various equipment
