Unit Leader or Helper

Young People Regular - more than 6 months South Bunbury WA

About this opportunity

Girl Guiding offers values based programs to girls aged 5 to 18. The focus is on building physical, practical and people skills as part of self development. Local units have waiting lists of girls eager to join but we do not have enough women to run our units which meet weekly during school terms in the early evening. There are several levels of commitment from fully trained Leaders and Assistants through regular Unit Helpers to helpers who share their skills on an occasional basis.

Leaders are women aged 18+ who enjoy working with children and supporting their personal development. Guiding experience is desirable but by no means essential and activities include camping, crafts, games, service projects and leadership skills development.
