Retail Volunteer - Boonah
About this opportunity
As a retail volunteer, you will play a central role in the operations of the shop, making a significant and valuable contribution to the St Vincent de Paul Society. Many of our store’s trade 7 days a week, so as little as 4 hours a week could make a huge impact.
Our retail volunteers perform a variety of tasks including: Providing customer with an excellent shopping experience Sorting and pricing donations Assisting with product displays Processing sales through the point-of-sale cash register Keeping the store and sorting area tidy, whilst maintaining safe work practices.
Additional requirements
National Police Certificate *. Others .
The volunteers we are seeking will ideally:
Be a people person - welcoming, encouraging, and positive.
Be willing to work within the ethos of the St Vincent de Paul Society, and
Be respectful to others and flexible in their attitude to work and the team.
Volunteers do not require previous experience as valuable on-the-job
training is provided.
The volunteers we are seeking for this new role will ideally:
Demonstrate a friendly, positive attitude, with a willingness to learn and to
be part of a team!
Demonstrate genuine respect for all people regardless of their situation.
Be respectful to others and flexible in their attitude to work and be a part of
a team.
Understanding of and commitment to the philosophy of St Vincent de Paul
Society Queensland and be willing to assist those who are most in need
throughout our communities as a team.
Please note, all volunteers must complete an online, free National Police Check before commencing with Vinnies. (All persons are encouraged to apply and will be assessed on a case-by-case basis).
