About this opportunity

Riding for the Disabled SA provides horse riding & related activities for people with a disability aged between three and ninety years!

RDASA is seeking volunteers to assist with 'Session Support' which includes:

  • preparing horses prior to the arrival of participants
  • leading horses during sessions, supporting participants during sessions
  • assisting with preparation of activities for centre programs
  • assorted activities related to care & welfare of horses.

Covid-19 vaccination . Working with Children Check *.

Covid-19 Vaccinations required for all volunteers engaging in direct participant support. DHS Working with Children Check and NDIS Worker Screening Check.

Volunteers with RDASA must be between 12 and 90 years of age; agree to complete the induction and Basic Program training; have a positive attitude and ability to work as part of a team.

Volunteers are required to complete a Volunteer Registration Form and, if over fourteen, are required to successfully obtain appropriate screenings.

Experience working with people with disability or with horses is advantageous but not essential.

Time Required

Tuesday morning, Wednesday afternoon, Thursday morning and Saturday morning.
