About this opportunity
It is desirable that the successful applicant can commit to the role for a minimum of 6 months. The role includes:
- answering phones and responding to enquiries in an efficient and timely manner by phone or email,
- send out loan application packs to prospective borrowers via mail or email,
- collect and check loan application documents,
- assist with general office duties,
- enter information into the specialised software, MyNILSapp
- diary management, including making and following up client loan interview appointments,
- promoting the program,
- maintaining client confidentiality and following the policies and procedures of Good Shepherd Microfinance.
Additional requirements
Covid-19 vaccination . National Police Certificate *. Working with Children Check *.
The role requires Knowledge and Experience in these areas:
- excellent communication skills,
- accuracy and attention to detail,
- proficient computer skills | Microsoft Office and Outlook,
- ability to build rapport with the program’s applicants,
- provide empathy and diplomacy with well developed interpersonal skills.
- communicate to meet the broad range of applicants,
- accuracy, time management and attention to detail,
- demonstrated experience working independently and as part of a team,
- hold a current National Police and Working with Children’s Check or willing to apply,
- understanding of and alignment with the values of the St Vincent de Paul Society Vic.
Ideally 3-4 hours at least 1 day per week, additional information is available from Agency.
