Online or onsite Home Work Club Volunteers Wanted

Education & Training Regular - more than 6 months Anywhere

About this opportunity

Wanted: volunteer online tutors who can help kids from refugee families with their schoolwork. The lockdown has made school even more difficult for these kids, whose parents don’t speak much English and therefore are unable to help them. Many kids have gotten a long way behind in the last 6 months. There is  a long list of kids from prep to year 12 who need help. An online tutor giving a one hour session once a week can make a huge difference to a child’s education. To participate as a volunteer tutor you will need a current Victorian Working With Children Check (free for volunteers) and be able to connect with the kids using Zoom. Please apply to organize a time to come in and meet Pam for more information. We are located in Ascot Vale. If you are not in Victoria or find it too hard to come in to do this then a phone call will suffice.
