Community Visitors Scheme (CVS) volunteers provide companionship to socially isolated residents living in home or in aged care facilities on a one to one basis or group sessions.
The Community Visitors Scheme Program Coordinator will match a volunteer with a resident of an aged care facility based on interests, hobbies, background and life experiences. The volunteer is required to visit the resident at least once a fortnight, working sensitively and positively developing a relationship with a resident. Visits should be spent doing something you both enjoy. you will volunteer at least once a fortnight.
