About this opportunity

Our Breast Health Centre offers routine breast screening, diagnostic assessment and treatment. Our volunteers offer support to patients while they undergo these services.

Volunteering in the Breast Health Clinic is unique due to the nature and type of services our patients are accessing and it is often a tense and uncertain time. As a result of this, our ideal volunteer will have had exposure to cancer whether it be themselves or a close family member.

You will be overseeing the waiting room where patients may spend a couple of hours as they attend different services. You will make cups of tea, chat to patients and keep an overall eye over how the day is tracking.


Additional requirements

To be suitable for this role you will ideally possess the following skills:
• A strong focus on customer service
• Confidence to have friendly & caring conversations with patients
** MUST be available on Wednesday every week

Time Required

This role is for weekly volunteering weekly on a Wednesday 8.30am - 4.30pm
