About this opportunity
Friends of Banksia Park Volunteers are required to show some tender loving care to park trees at Banksia Park in Normanville and assist with replanting. Listed at risk of extinction, these plants are also a source of nectar for bird species in the area. Banksia Marginata are beautiful plants which are hundreds of years old. There is a risk that these plants will become extinct due to physical attributes of sites and local weather conditions. Banksia plants provide a rich source of nectar for insectivorous birds. General Volunteers are needed to assist in maintaining and restoring Banksia Park in Normanville SA and also assist in the replanting at the Community Nursery.
Driver's Licence (C) . National Police Certificate *.
To be negotiated with the Volunteer Coordinator. Volunteers that enjoy general gardening, weeding and general upkeep of plants. Also interested in the replanting process.
