Ticketing and Information officer

About this opportunity

Come along and be a part of the action at Victoria's premier eventing event, the Melbourne International 3 Day Event.

Volunteers  will be provided with all training required, meals on the day and free entry to the entire event.

Skills Required: Good communication and customer service skills, friendly attitude, ability to take instructions from co-ordinator, awareness and sensitivity towards competitors and event officials and their needs.

Ticketing and Information officers are required to: ·          Sell & process event ticket sales. ·          Check tickets of incoming crowds. ·          Manage ticket sales queues and processes. ·          Meet, greet and provide spectators with general information about the event. ·          Provide directions to spectators as required. ·          Maintain a clear and safe track for pedestrians, cars and competitors.            Ensure that spectators stay within designated areas.

Note: This role requires standing for long periods of time.


Additional requirements

Volunteers must be 16years or older to apply for this role.

Time Required

Saturday 12th June - 8am - 3pm Sunday 13th June - 7am - 3pm Monday 14th June - 8am - 3pm

Training

All training for this role is provided. Volunteers will work together in groups under the direction of a leader to assist in the facilitation of this role.

Reimbursement

All food and drink will be provided on the day, free event entry as well as a volunteer gift.
