Match Day - Volunteer Gate Keeper - Southern Football League
About this opportunity
The Match Day Volunteer Gate Keeper is the first representative of the club that many of the spectators see.
You would be responsible for collecting gate fees.
Duties:
- Working closely with the treasurer on game day they are responsible for picking up the gate’s float and then returning it at the end of their shift.
- They are responsible for collecting entry fees for spectators that are attending on game day.
- Gate Keepers are to arrive and leave at an agreed upon time.
Skills:
- Have a strong understanding of math including addition, subtraction and multiplication.
- Be personable, polite and respectful towards spectators as they are the first impression of the club, this includes having great communication skills.
- They would need good customer service skills and the ability to diffuse an aggressive situation.
- Be able to work alone without constant supervision.
Additional requirements
National Police Certificate *.
All persons involved in the junior (under 18) players (and shall include as a minimum all Coaches, Trainers, Team Managers and may extend to Club Secretaries and Football Managers) MUST have a police check.
