Merchandise Officer Volunteer - Southern Football League
About this opportunity
The Merchandise Officer is responsible for all merchandise that is to be sold during matches & other club events.
They also ensure the issue of the correct Guernseys for the teams.
Duties:
- Keep records of club Guernseys that have been issued to each team. This includes sizes, numbers and how many.
- Ensure that there is merchandise available for sale at all home games and club events.
- Have an adequate display at these events and promote them through various means eg. Facebook, website and flyers.
- Maintain stock levels and order more, this is completed in conjunction with treasurer.
- Keep accurate records of all sales that are made.
Skills:
- Have a strong understanding of Math including addition, subtraction and multiplication.
- They would need good customer service skills and the ability to diffuse an aggressive situation.
- Be able to work alone without constant supervision.
- Have the ability to grow and maintain relationships.
Experience:
- No qualifications needed however, experience in a similar role would be an advantage, but the role can be learnt on job.
Additional requirements
National Police Certificate *.
All persons involved in the junior (under 18) players (and shall include as a minimum all Coaches, Trainers, Team Managers and may extend to Club Secretaries and Football Managers) MUST have a police check.

Time Required
Game day and pre season to be negotiated.
