About this opportunity
Provide support to the Shelter Manager in the caring for cats at the Just Cats Shelter. Maintain a cleaning and feeding schedule for cats including but not limited to; Preparing meals for cats including specialty dietary requirements; Cleaning of cat pens, emptying litter trays, changing bedding and food and water bowls; General shelter cleaning including disinfecting and washing tasks; Provide enrichment to cats through physical interaction and ensuring a stimulating environment; Monitor and maintain the general health and well-being of cats in care and report any concerns to the Shelter Manager, Maintain a safe workspace, and abide by workplace Health and Safety policies and procedures. Other tasks as directed.
Driver's Licence (C) .
Experience in caring for cats is beneficial but not essential.
Ability to use Initiative and able to work independently.
Ability to lift up to 15 kg.
Able to commit to regular roster.
Good verbal and communication skills required to update medical records.
Ability to understand and work within a quarantine environment.
Shift minimum of 4 hoursSuitable for
