Parent and Family Drug Support Group Facilitator

About this opportunity

Ha your child/children been involved in drugs and/or alcohol? Have you reached a point in your life where you feel emotionally and practically ready to use your personal experience to help other parents? Perhaps this role is right for you. We are looking for Parent Peer Volunteers to facilitate peer support to families and/or provide telephone support to parents calling the service in distress. As our service provide Peer Support. It's essential you have lived experience of a being a parent or guardian of a child (of any age) who has had or is still having difficulties with alcohol or drug use. Expressions of interest can only be taken for those who meet this criteria. Due to the number of applications received unfortunately we are unable to respond to those who do not meet the essential criteria. Full training is provided


Additional requirements

As our service provides PEER SUPPORT, It is essential you have lived experience of being a parent or guardian of a daughter or son who has had or is still having difficulties with alcohol or drug use. Expressions of interest can only be taken for those who meet this criteria. Computer literacy is also very important.
