Digital Mentor Volunteer

Community Services Regular - more than 6 months Geraldton WA

About this opportunity

Do you have an interest in teaching new skills to older members of our community? Are you interested and knowledgeable in IT? Are you available Mondays on a fortnightly basis to share your skills? Pollinators are looking for a friendly, approachable and non-judgmental Digital Mentor who can offer their time and knowledge to their new "Be Connected" program. Many of our older community members are "digitally excluded", but with new government systems requiring online access as well as being able to connect with family and friends, skills in getting online and learning the benefits of it are increasingly important. As a Digital Mentor, you work directly with learners as they develop new digital skills. You don’t need a technical background to volunteer - just a passion for helping others. Digital Mentors also enjoy a variety of teaching aids and other resources to make learning fun.
