About this opportunity

One on one visitation with residents, assist with walks around the facility and reading. The position involves visiting residents and spending time chatting or playing card games or reading to them in order to brighten their day.

Ability to engage with elderly residents in a patient, positive and meaningful way.

VOLUNTEERS MUST HAVE A CURRENT FLU SHOT IN ORDER TO BEGIN THE INDUCTION PROCESS!

The government has recently changed vaccine requirements for aged care volunteers and workers. Volunteers must have at least one COVID 19 vaccination shot by 17th September. Additionally, they have strongly recommended disability support workers/volunteers get their COVID shots, and will consider making it mandatory by October 31st.

National Police Certificate *.

It is also mandatory for all Volunteers to have the Covid Vaccination to be able to volunteer within an Aged Care Facility.
