About this opportunity
Bushcare is a volunteer-based, environmental conservation program coordinated and supported by the City of Parramatta.
Groups meet once a month on reserves around the Parramatta Local Government Area to participate in:
• Weed removal • Habitat restoration • Planting native seedlings • Watering plants • Surveying • Habitat monitoring • Weed mapping • Community education • Training / workshops • Restoration projects
Volunteers must be over the age of 18 unless in the presence of legal guardian. Volunteers should be fit and able to partake in bushcare activities without posing a hazard to themselves or other volunteers.
Groups meet for approximately 3 hours per month. However, any time volunteered is valued and your participation per month is up to you. Come and give it a try!Type of work
