Social Media Activation Volunteer
About this opportunity
Banyule Community Support and Information Centre (BANSIC) is a community information and support services providing assistance to people experiencing personal and financial difficulties by providing information, referrals and support services including Emergency Relief.
The Social Media Activation Volunteer will assist BANSIC to promote awareness of the organisation's services, programs and activities. The position will play a key role in the development and building up of the organisation's online presence.
The role would suit someone who has experience in social media platforms and building the reach and audience on them. It will also suit someone looking to gain experience in social media strategy in the not-for-profit sector.
The role will include:
- Building the online audience and reach of the organisation
- Regularly creating, selecting and posting relevant content online
- Monitoring the online spaces/pages
- Working with BANSIC to ensure material/content is relevant
Additional requirements
Covid-19 vaccination . Working with Children Check *.
Experience or understanding of the not-for-profit/community services sector
Experience of social media
Excellent communication and written skills.
Enthusiasm and initiative.
Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to relate to people at all levels and cultural backgrounds.
