Friendly Visitor for Elderly Gentleman in Hunters Hill

Community Services Regular - more than 6 months Hunters Hill NSW

About this opportunity

Multiple Sclerosis is funded to provide a volunteer visiting program – the Community Visitors Scheme (CVS). Volunteer visitors share stories, go for a stroll or a cuppa, listen to music or play a game. Our volunteers play a vital role in the life of a person living in an aged care home or their own home through ongoing friendship.

We have a gentleman in Hunters Hill who would greatly benefit from your friendship. He enjoys listening to live music and entertainment, going to RSL Club and would love to chat with a male or female who would be happy to take him out to the local club for a drink. People with experience and/or understanding of dementia most welcome to apply.

You need to be warm, caring, reliable and be willing to commit to at least fortnightly visits for a minimum of 12 months.

Good English communication skills required however volunteers with other languages willing to be matched to same language very welcome.
