Shopping Support Assistants - Northern Beaches

Seniors & Aged Care Regular - less than 6 months North Narrabeen NSW

About this opportunity

MWP Community Care is a not for profit organisation who has been dedicated to supporting the well being and independence of older people on the Northern Beaches since 1967. Our volunteers are local people who are passionate about supporting other locals, providing services as well as enabling them to maintain their independence living in their own home.

We are looking for people that are helpful, empathetic, reliable, respectful and fun to join our wonderful team of volunteers to assist our clients with their shopping.

We offer two services for shopping:-

Escorted Shopping Service This involves collecting the client from their home and accompanying them to the shops and assist where required.

**"Shop by List" Service. ** This involves collecting the shopping list from the client's house, do their shopping and return and assist unpacking if required.

Shopping involves a maximum of two hours and volunteers are reimbursed 85c/km for their travel costs.

Volunteering is a wonderful way to give back, build an ongoing relationship with a client and help someone who needs that little bit of extra support to remain living independently in their own home.

Come and be part of a team that makes lives better and provides peace of mind to our clients and their families. If this sounds like you, we'd love to hear from you!
