Volunteer Gardeners needed - Safety Bay
About this opportunity
Chorus are looking for compassionate, caring and patient volunteers to become a part of our volunteer gardening team. This service is a lifeline for many of our customers, helping them to maintain their gardens by providing general gardening assistance such as pruning, raking, mowing lawns, hedging, yard tidying to help keep their garden safe and tidy.
Our customers are elderly or people living with a disability and may have restricted mobility and are unable to maintain their gardens themselves.
Volunteers work with staff to assist with garden maintainence.
Additional requirements
National Police Certificate *.
Seeking enthusiastic, caring, compassionate & patient volunteers interested in supporting people in their community with an interest in gardening.
Based out of our Safety Bay depot.
National Police Clearance (paid for by Chorus).
Monday to Friday, from 7:30am to 2:30pm. Volunteers can give their time both regularly or occasionally. Volunteers can help up to three timer per week with a minimum of one day per week.
