Vinnies Volunteer Retail Assistant - Bunbury Depot
About this opportunity
Your contributions as a volunteer directly or indirectly enable such valuable services as; home visitations that provide emergency relief assistance, recovery-focused mental health services, a range of services to prevent or alleviate homelessness, recreational programs for children and teens, financial counselling, migrant and refugee programs, distribution centre operations and retail shops, and advocating for a greater understanding of social justice issues.
Key responsibilities include:
- Greet and provide friendly service and assistance to clients and customers including operating a POS machine and EFTPOS
- Assist in sorting, pricing, ticketing, merchandising and displaying donated items in the shop
- Perform all duties in line with the Vinnies Values and in accordance with the Retail Operations Manual
- Observe and demonstrate good understanding of Workplace Safety & Health. Assist in maintaining the Shop's cleanliness and hygiene standards which may include dusting, vacuuming, sweeping, washing up and mopping.
Additional requirements
National Police Certificate *.
Wearing enclosed shoes.
3 months probationary period.
Committed to your working hours.
A Police Clearance is provided through agency.
Shifts available Monday to Saturday between 9:00am and 5:00pm (minimum 4 hour shifts)
