About this opportunity

Girl Guide leaders help to facilitate weekly meetings for girls, with extensive support and resources available for developing a program.
We are looking for new leaders to work with our existing Guide Units in and around Geelong and the Bellarine. New volunteers will be linked with a current leadership team. Girl Guides are aged between 5 to 17 years, and usually meet weekly during school term. Suitable applicants must be passionate about empowering girls to grow into strong independent women, be willing to have fun, and be dedicated. Applicants must be willing to undertake a Police Check and Working with Children Check, as well as undertake our ChildSafe training module. Existing and past Leaders are available to assist with mentoring. Guide units provide funds to cover volunteering expenses.

Covid-19 vaccination . National Police Certificate *. Working with Children Check *.

Interested in helping girls develop into confident community members?
All skills and interests are welcome - craft, camping, cooking, etc. Useful but not necessary.
Must work within our program requirements and be a positive role model within our Program.
- Attend weekly meeting for approx 2-3 hrs, some preparation time needed.
- Attend leadership training courses, where required and maintain annual membership.
- Volunteers with Non English Speaking background are welcome.
- Extensive training provided which includes First Aid & CPR.
- Be drug and alcohol free when in attendance with our members, and no smoking on site.

Time Required

Weekdays during school term for approx 2-3hrs. Approximately 1 hour preparation weekly Occasional weekend activities or events - ie ANZAC Day parade or a camp Plus training time.
