Computer Tutor/Mentor
About this opportunity
BSOL provides Seniors aged over 50 in the Greater Brisbane area with computer and smartphone training at times agreed between mentor and learner. Most learners prefer weekly one-to-two hour lessons between 9am and 5pm Mon – Fri.
Tutors/Mentors are only required to be experienced computer users preferably in the same over 50 age bracket as our learners so they can relate to the challenges faced by our learners trying to improve their IT skills. 90 mins of induction training is required before practising as a mentor.
Applicants are required to be double vaccinated because most of our learners are aged over 70 and a number have underlying health issues which makes them vulnerable to Covid-19.
Additional requirements
Covid-19 vaccination .
Knowledge of Windows or Apple operating systems and the patience to pass on that knowledge.
Access to private transport would be an advantage.
