Geraldton Historical Society is looking for Museum Assistant Volunteers for the Lighthouse Keepers Cottage Museum! The museum houses an extensive collection of historical photos, research & reference material, as well as displays of Heritage lifestyle objects regarding the history of the region. A Museum Asst. would Meet and Greet visitors, guide them through the society's rooms, be able to maintain the library & the museum and open the cottage timely. On the job training will be provided.

Our vision is to create an open, sustainable, community-managed and loved Museum that is enjoyed by people of all ages! The Greenough Museum welcomes Volunteers who are enthusiastic and committed to assisting the museum to preserve, document and interpret its collections. The museum recognises the value of Volunteer work in both its day to day running and for future planning. Friends of the Ngoolyak is a group of environmental volunteers based at Piney Lakes Reserve, who study the lifecycle of flora, collect, process, and germinate seeds for planting in the Reserve. The seed collection project started in December 2022 as a pilot project. Location: Piney Lakes Environmental Education Centre, 555 Leach Highway, Winthrop.
