Friends of the Ngoolyak is a group of environmental volunteers based at Piney Lakes Reserve, who study the lifecycle of flora, collect, process, and germinate seeds for planting in the Reserve. The seed collection project started in December 2022 as a pilot project. Location: Piney Lakes Environmental Education Centre, 555 Leach Highway, Winthrop. Date: every two weeks on Friday mornings Time: 9:30 am to 11:30 am

RDA Harvey are a charity providing therapeutic interactions with horses for people with a wide range of disabilities. We're having some ditches dug on 23rd Feb for the internet (weather pending), so we need an electrician to lay the cable in the ditches soon after that if possible. We need the internet at our recently built senior and special needs Dog Sanctuary. They can even meet some of the doggies we rescue!

Farm Sanctuary work If you can commit to regular volunteering once a week or fortnight for at least six months, this is for you! Daily tasks include cleaning chicken/rooster houses and horse paddocks as well as sweeping and raking to keep the sanctuary safe. There will also be cleaning water troughs and bowls and grooming horses. Our volunteers are valued members of our team, without you we would be unable to do what we do, 'Where animals Live' is our proud motto.
