Bunbury Hospital regularly uses Volunteers to drive patients or relatives home or to outpatient appointments in other hospitals if they have no other means of transport. Drivers may also be asked to collect urgent items of equipment locally. Occasionally drives to Perth and northern suburbs are required.

Driving clients to various outings, hosting clients to various outings on weekends. Husband and Wife most welcome.

Everyone is welcome to volunteer at parkrun events. We have heaps of fun, simple and rewarding opportunities to lend a hand for one to two hours on a Saturday morning at parkrun events across Australia. No training is required, roles are fully supported on the day and you can take part as often or as little as you would like. You can volunteer as a marshal, timekeeper, photographer or try your hand at scanning barcodes and handing out tokens…..to name a few of the roles we have available.

We need people who knit, crochet or sew who would like to make items for us to sell in our shop. All the proceeds support hospital initiatives. This would largely be a role that you do in your home but we will show our gratitude by making you part of the volunteer family.

Come along to our Play and Learn Playgroup at Moorditj Kulungar Kwinana. This session provides learning through play opportunities and a safe space for children and families to connect. The Playgroup is for children aged 0 – 4 years led by our Aboriginal Resource Worker, we provide opportunities for Aboriginal families who visit us to learn about the first 3 years of a child’s life and prepare them for school.

The Friends of Bennett Brook are working to restore Bennett Brook as a healthy ecosystem for fauna, linking Whiteman Park to the Swan River. This involves providing emergency repairs on buildings, to restoration of essential services and ferrying cargo and passengers across flood waters. Helping the community to recover by responding to natural disasters is only part of SES’ responsibility.
