We are currently seeking volunteers to assist with the essential task of transporting our rescued native animals between veterinarian surgeries and our shelter.

Would you like to be a Visitor Guide to watch for dolphins and assist in our Aquarium/Interaction Zone when the dolphins visit? We are looking for friendly people who smile a lot & enjoy chatting to our visitors, who are of a neat and tidy appearance and who are self motivated with a good work ethic and an eye for detail. You must be able to work as part of our team, but also to work without supervision and use initiative when required.

Farm Sanctuary work If you can commit to regular volunteering once a week or fortnight for at least six months, this is for you! Daily tasks include cleaning chicken/rooster houses and horse paddocks as well as sweeping and raking to keep the sanctuary safe. There will also be cleaning water troughs and bowls and grooming horses. Our volunteers are valued members of our team, without you we would be unable to do what we do, 'Where animals Live' is our proud motto.

Tidy up of the cross country course includes mowing, painting, picking up of sticks, fence repairs and whipper snippering.

General duties as required including clearing the paddocks of manure, cleaning the track etc.

SAFE Hedland are looking for some enthusiastic Fundraising & Events Support Officers! You will be required to assist the Coordinator in setting up and running events throughout the year to raise money to help us pay our vet bills. You will need to have a love of animals, a love of people and your own transport.

Wildlife Rescue Australia (WRA) is a not-for-profit voluntary association, operating throughout Australia and staffed exclusively by home-based volunteers. It is dedicated to the rescue of Australian native animals, including birds and reptiles. WRA operates a national 24/7 emergency call centre for the rescue of native wildlife.
