The Facilitator role is well suited to someone with good communications skills and confidence in public speaking. Ideally you will have experience facilitating a support group and/or demonstrate the ability to lead a balanced discussion. Personal experience with macular disease is desirable, not necessary.

Breastfeeding counsellors are trained volunteers who offer breastfeeding information and mother-to-mother support to women whose babies are breastfeeding and to their families. Their area of expertise is breastfeeding support. The counsellors have to have breastfed at least one baby for a minimum of 6 months and hold a current Certificate IV in Breastfeeding Education (Counselling) (or equivalent) and have to complete ongoing training to up d ate their knowledge and skills.

We are seeking volunteers to assist at our Aid Station, ensuring participants stay hydrated for the day while they run or walk their way to the finish line.

The Meet & Greet Team are the first people you meet when you enter the hospital. They are there to welcome patients, staff and visitors to the hospital and provide assistance as an escort and direction service.

They can be formal or informal visits and planned or unplanned. Aim is to offer psychological, social and/or compassionate support. We are also recruiting for Inpatient Connectors in other areas of the South West: Manjimup, Pemberton, Bridgetown, Nannup, Boyup Brook, Donnybrook, Collie, Harvey, Margaret River, Augusta, Busselton.

Bunbury Hospital regularly uses Volunteers to drive patients or relatives home or to outpatient appointments in other hospitals if they have no other means of transport. Drivers may also be asked to collect urgent items of equipment locally. Occasionally drives to Perth and northern suburbs are required.
