Many and varied tasks are available, depending on the time of season. Duties include seed collecting, seed sorting, decontaminating benches / pots, pricking plants and propagation. Friends of the Ngoolyak is a group of environmental volunteers based at Piney Lakes Reserve, who study the lifecycle of flora, collect, process, and germinate seeds for planting in the Reserve. The seed collection project started in December 2022 as a pilot project. Location: Piney Lakes Environmental Education Centre, 555 Leach Highway, Winthrop. The Friends of Booragoon and Blue Gum Lakes, is involved in revegetation at the lakes. We meet on a monthly basis to weed around the plants we’ve planted in past years, and we also schedule planting days at both lakes.

Return It has partnered with Milligan Community Centre and we need someone who can provide a friendly and helpful service to everyone who walks through our doors, making sure every experience counts. The Concierge role has been designed to ensure that every community member has a positive story to tell after visiting the Return It depot when recycling their containers. We know that for many people, entering a new space or service can be a daunting experience.
