The Maternal & Child Health Greythorn playgroup are seeking a volunteer to assist with a Chinese playgroup which is held on Wednesday mornings at Greythorn Maternal Child & Health. This will suit a Mandarin Speaker but non-Mandarin speakers may also apply.

You will be matched with families and tasks based on your experience, skills and interests and the family’s needs. We would like you to commit for 12 months and to be flexible when volunteering. The support you are expected to give will vary from family to family and may change during your time with us. We will provide you with adequate training and supervision.

Friends of Refugees Reporting to the Education Support Coordinator, and working with other child care workers, the child care worker looks after children of parents who are taking part in programs at the Friends of Refugees centre and provide fun and educational activities while parents are in an adjacent room. Interchange is supported by volunteers to create social and recreational opportunities through group and individual activities. Kororoit Creek Neighbourhood House is looking for volunteers who can read with students, help with their homework, run games or activities (sport, art, music, science etc) or even just help prepare healthy snacks. Our homework club works with primary school children from culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds in Sunshine, Albion and surrounding suburbs to support their learning and confidence.
