On Sunday 11 August Muscular Dystrophy will stage Run for Strength - a fun run/walk around Princes Park. We need volunteers to act as marshalls around the course making sure participants dont go the wrong way. It is an easy job but one that is crucial to the success of the event. Our mentoring program connects young people with an adult volunteer mentor from the community with the aim of creating lasting friendships and positive, stable role models. We support the mentor arrangement for a 12 month period and encourage mentors and young people to maintain contact with each other beyond the 12 month supported arrangement.
