YPRL is seeking a new **Reading Dogs team** to join Thomastown Library. Our Reading Dogs program promotes children’s literacy by having children read aloud to dogs at the library. Our mission is to make reading fun and enjoyable for children so that they become confident and lifelong readers. Reading Dogs are accredited companion animals who volunteer with their owner/handler as a team by facilitating reading sessions. If your dog is calm, patient, and loveable, get in touch with us today!

We have a male client in Ormond who loves to chat about ideas, books, music and national and international affairs. Our Client is well read and loves listening to music, and he would love to spend an hour a fortnight with a volunteer with whom he can chat over a coffee or a gentle walk. If you are able to commit to weekly or fortnightly visits (weekends are fine), and can easily visit Ormond, please express interest below!!

Currently we have a male client in Caulfield North who has many interests including gardening, walking around gardens, playing chess, pottery work, and chatting about his life. Our client would enjoy the company of a caring, reliable and empathetic volunteer with good communication skills and an ability to commit to weekly or fortnightly visits.

Inclusion Melbourne’s Leisure Buddy program matches like-minded people to undertake social activities within our community on a fortnightly basis. We are focused on creating genuine, long term connections between volunteers and our Leisure Buddy participants. Therefore, we require a minimum commitment of 12 months and two to three hours per fortnight.
