Music is synonymous with The Salvation Army, having had a long history of bringing the joy of music to worship and to the public. The Mainly Music Group Leader leads the group in artistic skill and spiritual discipleship, to achieve artistic goals by overseeing the participation of members in worship services and special events. The Mainly Music Group Leader supports the corps in pastoral care for music members, the congregation and the wider community of the local mission expression.

The role of the Mainly Music Assistant is to assist the Mainly Music Team Leader/Coordinator engage with parents and other carers by providing companionship, care and support, playing with children, choosing songs, singing, and playing musical instruments.
