The Media & Marketing Coordinator for PNB: Liaise with media outlets and what’s on listings. Plans and implements the marketing and promotions for PNB including special events, meetings, workshops and tours. Liaises with media contacts as necessary to promote PNB activities including news releases. Builds on the PNB media contact list for development and use at events. Works closely with the committee members such as the events, and education organisers to promote our activities.

Sydney Heritage Fleet owns two large tugs, donated by RAN. They are regularly used for manoeuvring our classic tall sailing ship James Craig, and for movements needed by our other operating vessels which include coal fired steamers Waratah (steam tug, 1902) and Lady Hopetoun (VIP launch 1902), John Oxley (steam pilot ship ex- Moreton Bay (under total restoration and several vintage diesel launches.

The Sydney Heritage Fleet Workshops in Rozelle Bay is a busy hive of activity. Our main restoration project is steamer John Oxley, and there are many regularly used vessels on which maintenance is essential. You will find yourself in a very happy friendly work environment where there are no cliques or feuds or jealousies. Just the keen desire to have the joy of having a productive day.

James Craig is a magnificent operating tall ship – a 3-masted barque built in 1874 so she is now 148 years old – and she needs you to help look after her!

Sydney Heritage Fleet owns, restores and operates fine examples of our maritime heritage. Including 1902 steam tug Waratah, 1902 VIP steam launch Lady Hopetoun, 1,000-passenger doublle ended ferry Kanangra and many historic vessels especially tall ship James Craig. We need your help to complete the restoration of ex-Moreton Bay pilot steamer John Oxley (760 tons) by joining our riveting team.

Sydney Heritage Fleet owns, restores and operates historic steam ships, sailing ships and many smaller launches. Our current major project is the restoration to full ocean-going condition of John Oxley a former Moreton Bay pilot steamer, 760 tons. You, the volunteer will be a skilled welder and steel fabricator to aid in the final stages of hull restoration, particularly the forecastle. Your team leader is gentle giant whose welding surpasses marine standard for boiler work.

Sydney Heritage Fleet is voluntary group dedicated to preserving, restoring and operating vessels representing our Maritime history. We own in addition to many smaller boats, the former VIP steam yacht Lady Hopetoun, steam tug Waratah (1902, Cockatoo Island), !,000 passenger double-ended Sydney Harbour Ferry Kanangra, and ex-Moreton Bay pilot steamer John Oxley, for which we need deck hands.

Sydney Heritage Fleet owns world-famous barque James Craig a fully rigged iron ship built 1874. From a rusted skeletal hulk in Recherche Bay Tasmania, she has been completely rebuilt by the volunteers at Sydney Heritage Fleet and now makes harbour and ocean voyages for the public often setting all of her 21 sails. Keeping her seaworthy needs constant attention , to paintwork, woodwork, rigging and deck caulking. We need you to join the happy team who carry out this work regularly on the ship.

Volunteers are needed for a project to regenerate a severely degraded section of Lane Cove National Park. This work site is accessed through the locked gate on Pittwater Rd East Ryde just south of the Rene Street roundabout. The work will benefit the local flora and fauna and the walkers using the Great North Walk. No experience needed and all are welcome and a qualified bushregenaeration trainer will assist the group for the first seven months.

This group meets at the reserve entry point to the trail at 201 Pittwater Road, East Ryde. The group meets every Monday and Saturday 8:00am to 10:30am; volunteers can come to both or either day. There is much work to be done. We are well supplied and supported by the Lane Cove National Park bush care coordinator. Come along and help us make this reserve even more beautiful.

This bushcare group is supported by Lane Cove National Park. It meets on the second Sunday morning of each month in West Pymble and welcomes new members. Work involves removing weeds so that native plants will regenerate, improving the biodiversity of the park.
