The purpose of our Home Visit service is to reduce the social isolation of our clients who may be feeling disconnected from their community. Have you got a few spare hours to visit an elderly person on the Northern beaches ? Do you enjoy engaging with people and making a meaningful difference to the lives of others ? Shopping Support Volunteers are needed. There are older people in our community who need the support of a friendly, caring and reliable person to assist them with their grocery shopping. A lovely older lady would like a volunteer to visit her on a Saturday or Sunday afternoon for around an hour on a weekly basis either chatting over a cuppa, or going for a drive (she will drive her car) to the shops or the beach. Volunteering under the Aged Care Volunteer Visitor Scheme you will make a difference in the life of an older person by helping to reduce feelings of loneliness and isolation improve their overall wellbeing.

An older man living in his own home would like you to visit him. You must be able to converse in Greek and can play board games, chat about Greece and other places of travel, or go for a walk together. Approximately an hour a fortnight or weekly at a time to suit both of you.

Community Aid Volunteers at Lifeline H2HS provide social support for frail, aged people 65 years or older in the form of transport to appointments and activities, accompanied shopping, companionship visits, or social phone calls. Easy Care Gardening is an Aged Care provider. We are seeking active, fit and enthusiastic people to join our mulch team. The mulch team is essential to support the volunteer gardening teams. Our volunteer gardening teams look after our clients' gardens, making them safe, tidy and enjoyable. We weed prune and mulch home gardens to make them low maintenance, to make things easier for the client between our visits.

ACVVS program at Sydney MCS provides FREE social supports for the senior community in Sydney. We seek Mandarin speaking volunteers to visit a senior gentleman at the aged care facilities. We are highly valued our wonderful volunteers and your help will significantly reduce isolation and increase their quality of life.

That is where A Sound Life comes in - we do all the legwork to make it easy for you to simply turn up and perform your music either live over Zoom or directly to patients by their bedside in hospitals.
