Lane Cove National Park has a thriving Bushcare Program running under the supervision of a National Parks Bushcare Coordinator. There are groups currently working on different days, from every week to once a month, and they welcome new members. Work is in the bush, removing weeds so that native plants will regenerate, improving the biodiversity of the park.

Transition Bondi hosts a community composting system where local residents and businesses can donate food scraps, diverting organic waste from landfill into valuable compost instead. We are looking for someone who wants to get involved in this community project.

We have heaps of fun, simple and rewarding opportunities to lend a hand for one to two hours on a Saturday morning at parkrun events across Australia. No training is required, roles are fully supported on the day and you can take part as often or as little as you would like. You can volunteer as a marshal, timekeeper, photographer or try your hand at scanning barcodes and handing out tokens…..to name a few of the roles we have available.
