The Clinic Outreach Volunteer is a pivotal role designed to promote the My Eyes service directly to patients at local eye injection clinics. The My Eyes service offers essential post-clinic support for people living with age-related macular degeneration (AMD) by providing guidance, emotional support, and practical assistance to navigate their diagnosis and everyday challenges.

The Macular Disease Foundation of Australia (MDFA) is the national peak body representing the macular disease community.  Our four pillars of work include:  prevention and early detection, supporting the community to live optimally with macular conditions, systemic advocacy and research.  There are an estimated 1.4m Australians with some evidence of age-related macular degeneration, which is the most common macular disease.

We are looking for admin to be the supportive force that empowers our senior leadership. The ideal person for the job will be a energetic problem solver with good communication skills and a knack for detail. You will preferably have experience performing administrative duties and providing support to management. Given the changing nature of the volunteer landscape, we rely on high flexibility. Knowledge on real estate market will be an added advantage.

You'll be welcomed into the supersized commercial kitchen. You'll get busy in the kitchen transforming rescued food into nutritious meals, that will be delivered to disadvantaged communities.
