Victor Harbor Girl Guides is currently looking for a Unit Helper to assist Unit Leaders to provide effective leadership of their unit in order to deliver a high quality Australian Guide program to youth members. While working in the Guide Unit you will be part of a team supported by your District Leader. If you have a sense of humor, like being with people, are interested in mentoring girls and able to commit regularly we would love to hear from you.

– Help preserve South Australian history, and to share that history with others. – Give back to the broader Adelaide community, and help us to carry on a key local tourism operation in the town of St Kilda. – Learn extensively about Adelaide’s public transport history, ranging from the early days of horse-drawn trams right through to the iconic Glenelg trams which ran from ‘city to bay’ for more than 75 years.

Modbury Hospital Guide Volunteers are based at the Hospital's main entrance and assist patients and visitors with directions to their destination. Guide Volunteers position suit someone who is interested in interacting with the public, able to deal with occasional stressful situations, and physically fit enough to stand and walk much of the shift. A Guide can be rostered Mon – Fri and shifts can vary from 4 hours to a full day. Training and induction are provided.

For Girls aged 5yrs to 17 years who want fun, new friendship, and adventure! We meet on Thursdays during school terms, 5.30pm to 7.00pm. We provide leadership & personal skills development through the Australian Guide Program. As well as regular meetings we also go on camps, excursions and participate in community events. The Lyell McEwin Hospital serves a community of people from diverse cultures and backgrounds. Some people may find the hospital difficult to navigate finding the ward or service they need. Guides are often the first face a visitor sees when entering the hospital and have the important role of greeting patients and visitors as they arrive.

Volunteers in this role provide support and guidance to the visitors and staff of the Modbury Hospital Outpatients Department by greeting patients on arrival and directing patients to the required area.

Get outside and connect with local heroes to protect and restore native vegetation. Play a part in the wider conservation quest to bring back native plants, animals and ‘wild’ places for people to experience for generations to come. Volunteering with local conservation groups has lasting impacts on biodiversity and community. It’s hands-on learning, collective action, and a way to meet other people.
