Calling all people with an interest in helping to make wooden toys. The Encounter Community Centre is looking for volunteers to work as part of a friendly team to help produce quality hand made toys. No experience is necessary as all training is provided.

Are you creative and enjoy social interaction? Do you have an interest, experience or skills in visual art or creative arts practice? Are you good with and have the ability to build rapport with others? Enjoy listening, a calm nature and working closely with others to build connection? Perhaps a background in art therapy? We would love for you to join our team to help promote health and wellbeing through art and social interaction. Our art group is held Thursday's from 1pm to 3.30pm.

Do you enjoy socialising, having fun and being creative? Our Colour and Sip Happy Hour on Friday afternoons is the place to be. You will enjoy encouraging others to join in conversation, get creative with mindful colouring activities, and serve drinks and nibbles.

Do you love making gift cards? Do you like being around people? Do you like being part of a group? Do you have a couple of hours to spare a week?

We encourage our elders to participate and be engaged in activities where they can learn skills, socialize and participate in activities and events and enjoy other's company. Some residents like to have 1 on 1 or engage in activity groups suited for men.
