We are looking for Volunteers to join our existing force of 'Everyday Super Heroes' as a Weekend Warrior, at our Townsville House. In this volunteer role, you will be the face of the organization and the first point of contact for our families, volunteers, donors and visitors who walk through our doors during weekend hours and provide support in the event of an emergency. You will ensure efficiency of House operations at weekends, with 3 different 4 hour shifts available between 8am - 8pm.

We’re looking for volunteers who are caring, compassionate, conscientious, and non-judgemental. We aim to help young people form positive relationships with volunteer leaders and develop friendships with other young people from the local area.

Provide a safe and stable living environment for a child living in out of home care for a short period of time or at least one weekend a month as a minimum

Scouts provides young Aussies with fun and challenging opportunities to grow through adventure. The Scout Movement encourages the development of young people so they take a constructive place in communities by through gaining life skills, self-confidence and independence. Kennedy Region Scouts have opportunities on the team who provide support to the program activities. The Pyjama Foundation are seeking dedicated volunteer mentors, known as Pyjama Angels, to provide support and guidance to a young person in foster care in the Redlands (and across Queensland, New South Wales and Victoria). Volunteer on the days and times you are available.
