Crime stoppers is an organisation that assists police by collecting crime related information through an anonymous system and provides the information for police. Crime Stoppers Volunteers raise funds for a rewards program, and for the purchase of promotional merchandise required for educational purposes. Meetings are held monthly.

Currently only one intake a year is held, applications must be made prior to attend a mandatory 4 day training session. This role is for long term, committed, and conscientious persons.

Volunteers required to support the operational activities as directed by the OSU Group Duty Officer. This is a support role and can be undertaken by firefighting and non-firefighting personnel.
